Harmony Foods fire damage on 25th and Becher, Milwaukee
Spent the last couple shifts at 26's. Been some fun too. Helped 12's burn down a garage. Well, not completely. The car inside was a total loss but the garage is standing. For now. Then, caught a first in fire at a convenient store off of 25th and Becher. Was blowing out of what I would call a service door to the west as we were first to arrive. Pulled off the rear and started making our way in. Encountered a metal gate just inside which wasn't too difficult to get out of the way. Once inside, our boots kept sinking into something. Later we realized that it was plastic from the two liter bottles that were all over the place that must have melted down. You should have seen the hose once we were done. There was plastic melted onto many sections of hose. Felt sorry, somewhat, for whoever had to clean that shit off. Anyway, assisted another company, Engine 31!, with tearing apart the room. Was a good fire, but by this time, it was almost six in the morning. And we've been up since 2am. I was getting tired and ready to go home.
