Nook Tablet

After having a few days with the Nook Tablet, I am pleased.  I compliment Barnes and Noble for coming out with a product that does what my family needs.  For example, my family and I have a desktop computer and a laptop.  But we don't use our desktop much anymore because of the convenience of our Dell laptop.  And when I'm gone for a day or two, I was looking for something that I would be able to check my email, surf the internet, get up to speed from local newspapers and just perhaps, sit down and read a book.  With the Nook Tablet, I now have that capability to do so.  The speed of the internet via Wi-Fi, is not bad.  Not as quick as our laptop with Pentium i5, but I really wasn't expecting it to be.  Searching for books and apps is straight forward.  I do like the fact that B&N Gift Cards can be uploaded to my Nook.  And also that there is a tally of how much on the card is left.  Very nice.

On the other hand, I do have a few gripes.  And these may not be Barnes and Noble's fault.  As a browser, the Nook Tablet is capable.  But, Facebook comes up like it does on my cell phone.  I admit that I like to play Family Feud daily and can not seem to be able to do so.  Was a little bummed.  Another would be that when I wanted to post on my blog, it would not allow me to do so.  I could start a new blog with a title, but the Nook did not allow me to type in any text for the body of my blog posts.  My last gripe would be on the manage Gift Card page.  After making purchases through my account, I wish that I could see what was bought on my Nook.  I later realized that an email was sent to my main account for what was purchased.  But it would be nice to have another tab to show list of purchases.  I only mention this because I believe I was charged for something that I wasn't aware of.  And still not aware of. 

Now I will admit that I'm not the brightest when it comes to the in's and out's of electronics, but after a few days with my Nook Tablet, I am very pleased.  I'm hopeful that after some more time with my hands on the device, I'll be more excited about it's capabilities.
