Senior Guy

Still hearing it about bowling with 31's.  Looking forward to the Sweeper.

Worked my first 48 in a while.  First at Truck 14 then up to Engine 8 for the second half.  Walked in knowing that I'd be the senior guy and also that I would be cooking as well.  Made lovely BLTs for lunch then fajitas for dinner.  Along with my tricolor salsa.  Many compliments from the crew.  Was nice to hear.  As for runs, not too many while in the 4th.  But up there was car accident city.  Four or five accidents.  And the weather wasn't really that bad.  Add in the few other ems runs we took.  Suddenly I felt like I was back at 31's.  Minus the accidents.  Back tomorrow on my truck.

Got the call this morning that I've been accepted into the HEO class to start next week.  Called to confirm and mentioned that I was already state certified MPO, so now I only have to attend the aerial portion.  Just five weeks in May.  "Excellent Smithers."
